After a one-year negotiation, earlier this year Germany“s Thieme signed a contract with Autographics, one of India“s largest graphic screen printing companies. “It was a great feeling to be able to finalise the negotiations with the company after such a long time”, said Petra Isele of Thieme“s export department. Autographics is now the owner of a three-quarter automatic T3020 4-post machine, 30″ x 40″ format, with a hot air tunnel dryer and collection hopper. According to Thieme, the Indian firm now has the competitive advantage in quality and speed it has been looking for. Because of the magnitude of the investment, Autographics required a precise and intense coordination effort through the manufacturing process. In December of last year, Sanjeev Babu, the Operations Manager of Autographics visited Tenigen, Germany to perform a final inspection of the new line and to receive the necessary training. Since March, the machine has been producing a level of quality and quantity that Autographics has never experienced before, claimed Thieme.
