14 May 1998: Taiwan Glass Industrial Corp., Taiwan“s leading glassmaker, recently announced its figures for the first quarter 1998. The company“s numbers were up in all sectors, with T$ 2.73 billion in turnover vs. T$ 2.49 billion of the same period a year earlier. Pre-tax profit was recorded at T$ 942 million vs. T$ 794 million, and net profit increased to T$ 751 million against T$ 635 million.
