Austrian glass packaging manufacturer Stlzle Oberglas will concentrate its automatic glass production at three sites, which will lead to the loss of 75 jobs in Brnbach, Styria, (south east Austria) the company said on 16 March 2005. The move is aimed at increasing the company“s long-term competitivity. Stlzle plans to assist employees affected by the lay-offs. By the end of summer 2005 the company will relocate all of its automated glass production to Kflach, Austria, Knottingley in the UK and Czestochowa in Poland. In Brnbach where a total 189 people are employed, Stlzle plans to keep its traditional activities. The company exports its products to 80 countries, supplying the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, beverage and food industries.
