The supervisory board of Slovenian glassware group Steklarna Rogaska dismissed director Davor Seni and appointed Darko Borsic as his successor at a meeting held 21 January 2004. Strike action by Steklarna Rogaska employees in protest at the dismissal was considered possible. The supervisory board of Steklarna Rogaska subsidiary Rogaska Crystal appointed Emil Stukelj CEO of the company on 21 January 2004. Stukelj, currently the director of meat processor Mesarstvo Sentjur, succeeds Davorin Skrinjaric, who recently stepped down. The management moves are aimed at securing favorable conditions for the restructuring of the Steklarna Rogaska group. The restructuring will be financed with state grants. At present, Steklarana Rogaska is over SIT 10 billion (USD 52 million/EUR 42.1 million) in debt. Its principal creditors are Nova Kreditna Banka Maribor (NKBM) and Banka Celje. Steklarna Rogaska was founded in 1927. The group, which employs 1,850, produces over six million units of glassware annually.
