Slovenia“s Julius Fund has paid EUR 10.43 million for glassware manufacturer Steklarna Rogaska, according to press agency Sta. The managing director of Steklarna Rogaska, Robert Licen, said that Julius Fund will invest a further EUR 4.17 million in a capital increase allowing the Slovenian glass firm to repay bankruptcy costs. Bank creditors Nova Ljubljanska banka, Nova Kreditna banka Maribor and Skb converted their outstanding claims into shares in the company from January 2007. Steklarna Rogaska filed for bankruptcy at the beginning of 2005. The Julius Fund is owned by asset manager Zvon, itself owned by fund manager Krekova druzba, a company affiliated to the catholic church in Slovenia.
