Slovenian glassworks Steklarna Hrastnik is planning to invest EUR 27 million (USD 33.7 million) in building a bottle plant in 2004 the firm said on 29 December 2003. The plant is scheduled to be completed and launched in 2005. Its opening will provide 210 new jobs in the Hrastnik region, southern Slovenia, which will be of a great significance following the closure of local mining company Rudnik Trbovlje-Hrastnik, Steklarna Hrastnik director general Stojan Binder said. Steklarna Hrastnik will seek state aid for the construction of the new factory.
