Solutia“s 10-K comments filed on 7 March with the US Securities & Exchange Commission on legal matters and outlook said resolution of polychlorinated biphenyls from the Anniston, Alabama, plant “may have a material adverse effect on Solutia“s net income in a given year, although it is impossible at this time to estimate the range or amount of any such liability.” The filing said Solutia “does not believe, based upon currently available facts, that the ultimate resolution of these pending matters will have a material adverse effect on Solutia“s financial position or liquidity in any one year.”
