Russia“s Simbirskiye Stroymaterialy and Tashlinsky mining and processing plant (GOK), have signed agreements with Czech company Sklostroj allocating RUB 3.6 billion as reported by the government of the Ulyanovsk Region on 22 September 2009. According to the agreement, Sklostroj will provide engineering development services and supply equipment for both projects. The agreement with Simbirskiye Stroymaterialy foresees the construction of four lines in the Ulyanovsk Region“s village of Krasny Gulyay for the production of 390 million bottles per year, and investments in the construction of RUB 2.9 billion. The glass bottle plant is scheduled to come online in 2011. The agreement with Tashlinsky GOK regards the construction of a third stage of a mining and processing plant, to come online in 2011, to produce 50 tonnes of quartz sand per hour, and an investment of RUB 675 million.
