For a project to build a glass bottle factory at Omsk in western Siberia, JSC Klin Steklotara of the Moscow Region has reportedly chosen Sklostroi Sizett S.R.O. of the Czech Republic as a contractor. The cost of construction is EUR 45 million. A suitable site for the factory is still being sought. The choice will depend on the proximity of the site to supply lines and the Sun Interbrew brewery at Omsk, future client for output from the plant. The glass bottle factory is to begin operation in 2008. The initial capacity will be 320 million bottles per annum.
