The Czech Republic“s Sklo Bohemia Svetla nad Sazavou expects Kcs 950 million in revenues this year, approximately the same amount as last year“s Kcs 946.135 million, accoridng to general director Oldrich Karas. “We will produce more non-decorative glass than last year but a cut in its price by around 8% will make revenues stagnate,” Karas explained. The company cut its prices to be competitive on foreign markets where it exports around 75% of production. Sklo Bohemia makes around 40% of domestic lead crystal products, which are exported mainly to Britain, Japan, Canada and Germany. “We have managed to move onto the US market, where exports worth over Kcs 100 million will go this year, generating around 11% of annual revenues,” said Karas. The company with 1,550 employees has a Kcs 549.958 million share capital. Its biggest owners are Bohemia Crystalex Trading (51.1%) and The Quartemanina Invest Fund B.V. (43.1%).
