4 March 1999: Lubomir Soudek, who was dimissed as CEO of Skoda Plzen, owns, through his company, a 72.8% share in the glassworks Sklarny Bohemia, based in Podebrady in the Czech Republic, according to a recent press report. Over the past few years the glassworks had a net of over Kcs 25 million annually. Soudek holds the share through his company NERo, of which he is the only owner, the report said. Sklarny Bohemia“s financial director, Bohumil Kouba, confirmed that Soudek is also a member of the company“s board of directors. NERo obtained a majority share of the glassworks during its privatization in 1993. “Revenues have been growing for the past few years, and last year, the company once again had a net of more than Kcs 20 million,” Kouba said.
