Glass producer Sklaren Clara Utekac needs SKK 30 million in investments to restart its production, while restoration of the full operations would require SKK 70 million, as referred recently by Milan Pupala, a representative of Slovak-Czech company Horske Centrum Spariny, s.r.o. that bought the bankrupted glass producer. He added the company“s representatives are holding talks with potential clients. Because the domestic market is saturated with glass products, the company is waiting for confirmation of contracts with partners in Spain and in countries of eastern Asia. The company wants to supply Slovakia with child vacuum flasks, which are presently imported from the Czech Republic, where they are assembled from components imported from India and China. The company plans to start with an initial work force of 270 people with a perspective of 400 jobs. The company is in a poor technical condition due to halted production during the bankruptcy proceedings that lasted three years.
