Bulgaria“s most important foreign direct investor, Turkish glassmaker Sisecam, has opened a new factory near its facilities in Targovishte, to manufacture autoglass for car makers such as BMW, Audi, Ford, Renault and Peugeot. In his speech at the inauguration, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said the Bulgarian government would continue to support investments to revive the country“s economy. Sisecam“s Chairman of the Board of the Directors Ahmet Kirman said the company“s investments in Bulgaria totalled USD 405 million, with a further USD 400 million investments planned for the future, urging the Bulgarian prime minister to remove obstacle before investments. Sisecam“s new auto glass factory will create 130 new jobs, and will have an annual capacity of 1.3 million sq.m.
