Turkish glassmaker Sisecam has secured a EUR 55 million loan from the European Investment Bank for a modernisation and capacity expansion programme. The loan has a grace period of two years. Sisecam will use the loan to build a new float glass line and to build and operate a coating line at the production facilities in the Yenisehir district of Bursa while a portion of the loan will be used to fund the company“s research and development expenditures. Anadolu Cam Sanayi, Cam Elyaf Sanayi and Pasabahce Cam Sanayi are guarantors for the loan. Glassmaker Trakya Cam Sanayi owns 84.96% of Sisecam.
