Sezal Glass said that it intends to invest INR 750 crore to expand its production capacity in the next two years as it aims at a turnover of INR 1,000 crore by 2014. As per the plan, the company will be upping its production from the current 550 tonnes to 1,250 tonnes a day by 2013. “We are expanding our Jhagadia (Gujarat) plant for which we are investing INR 750 crore. It will take two years to complete capacity expansion,” Sezal Glass CMD Amrrut S Gada said. On reaching 1,250 tonnes a day capacity, the firm expects revenues to touch INR 1,000 crore by 2014, Gada said, adding that the company is aiming for a turnover of INR 300 crore in this ongoing fiscal. The Mumbai-based firm supplies its products to various customers, including Larsen & Toubro, Airports Authority of India and Raheja Developers, exporting glass to various countries in the Gulf as well as Africa. “Around 15% of our production is exported to countries in the Gulf and Africa. We also export to Sri Lanka,” Gada said. The company“s product range includes clear float glass from 2mm to 15mm thickness, mirrors from 2mm to 8mm thickness, dark grey, bronze and green tinted along with hard- and soft-coat reflective range of architectural glass. The company also operates “Sezal Encasa“ retail showrooms at various locations in Mumbai, which deal in home and office interior products.
