Serbian Glass Factory in Pancevo, northern Serbia, has posted an output of glass of EUR 6.6 million since the beginning of 2002, the company announced on 19 September 2002. A tender for the privatization of the factory is to be opened by the end of 2002. Some 400 of the 1,500 factory employees have been made redundant and will be laid off before the privatization. Swiss and German companies have shown interest in the factory. No further details were available.
