According to a recent report, Germany“s Schott Glaswerke is planning to close its factory in Aumale in Seine-Maritime at the beginning of the summer. The plant belongs to one of Schott“s subsidiaries, Socit Franaise d“Ampoules Mdicales (SFAM). The closure is part of the reorganization of pharmaceuticals packaging activities, which is expected to be centred on the sites at Casteljaloux (Lot-et-Garonne) and Pont-sur-Yonne (Yonne). The 166 workers at SFAM in Aumale will have the opportunity to move to one of the other two factories, the report added.
