Saudi Zoujaj: FY net profits up 25%

The Saudi National Glass Industries Company (Zoujaj) posted a 25% year-on-increase in net profit to SAR 28.9 million (USD 7.7 million/EUR 6.1 million ) for 2003, it was reported on 21 January 2004. Zoujaj posted sales of SAR 65.6 million (USD 17.5 million/EUR 13.8 million), up from SAR 60.3 million (USD 16.1 million/EUR 12.7 million). The company reported general, administrative and marketing expenses of SAR 7.7 million (USD 2.1 million/EUR 1.6 million), down 12%. Zoujaj, established as a joint-stock company in 1990, has a paid-up capital of SAR 200 million (USD 53.3 million/EUR 42.1 million). The company currently operates two plants in Dammam, eastern Saudi Arabia, and in the capital Riyadh, and exports its products to Pakistan, Algeria, the Gulf countries, Malta, Malaysia, Sudan and Lebanon.
