Sasaki Glass, the Japanese glass tableware producer has announced forecasts for the 1997/98 financial year, which ends on 31 March 1998. Following earlier forecasts of 17.1 billion yen in sales and 50 million yen in net profits, Sasaki is now forecasting sales of 16.4 billion yen and net losses totalling 180 million yen. Half-year results to September 1997 see sales at 5.87 billion yen and net profits at 106 million yen.
