San Miguel Corp. (SMC) chairman Eduardo M. Cojuangco Jr. now sits at the helm of PureFoods Corp., following the completion of food and beverage conglomerate“s acquisition of the Ayala Group“s 93.98% stake in the food company. At a special meeting that followed the block sale of Pso 6.58 billion worth of PureFoods shares to SMC on 22 May, Mr. Cojuangco was elected to replace Jaime Zobel de Ayala as chairman of newly acquired food company.
