The Coca-Coal Co. is seeking to partly acquire the water and juice drink brands of the Philippine“s San Miguel Corp.“s La Tondena beverage unit as part of a strategy to expand its noncarbonated beverage interests in Asia-Pacific and Australia, the Australian Financial Review reported. If a deal can be made, the La Tondena water and juice brands are expected to be licensed to Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc., the soft drink joint venture that Coca-Cola and San Miguel are in the process of buying from Australia“s Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd.
