San Miguel Corp., the Philippine“s major food and beverage firm, announced on 25 April a 35 centavo per share cash dividend. In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, San Miguel said the dividend, to shareholders on record as of 15 May, was payable on 31 May. San Miguel Corporation said it posted a net income of PHP 1.11 billion in the first three months of 2002. The figure, which includes the dilutive impact of three major acquisitions, was lower than the PHP 1.67 billion in 2001, the company said in a statement. Consolidated net income without the acquisitions was 13% better than last year, it said. Its consolidated revenues for the first quarter of 2002 rose to PHP 30.17 billion from PHP 22.39 billion in the same period last year.
