28 August 1998: A textile glass yarn plant is to be built by Compagnie de Saint-Gobain in Mexico, according to recent press reports (see GlassOnline report of 28 May 1998 for more details). The new manufacturing facility is scheduled for a second half 1999 start up. The glass yarn will be used mainly in the electronics industry.
