Germany“s Saint-Gobein Oberland is looking to invest EUR 30-32 million for improvements at Kavminsteklo in Mineralniye Vody (Stavropol territory) said Anatoly Lesnykh, press secretary to the territorial governor. The work is scheduled to begin in June 2005, Lesnykh said. The plan for 2005 calls for the construction of a new building with a single glass furnace able to produce up to 450 tonnes of glass daily to replace the current two furnaces (180 tonnes daily), he said.
