Saint-Gobain Glass UK has informed that, from the end of December 2009, it will have a new managing director. Pierre Lucien-Brun comes from Saint-Gobain Glass Solutions, where he has held various management posts over the past 20 years, while the outgoing head of the company, Alan McLenaghan, will go to Saint-Gobain“s Container Glass division. A second appointment will also take place when Derek Dragten, Saint-Gobain Glass“ marketing manager, will become sales and marketing director from 1 January 2010, when Norman Barker, the company“s present sales manager, prepares for retirement in June 2010. Alan McLenaghan said: I have immense pride in having played my part in the creation of Saint-Gobain Glass UK and specifically the three manufacturing plants at Eggborough. It has been marvellous to have been a part of taking SGGUK from concept to the huge success it has become today. Eggborough is one of Saint Gobain Glass“ most successful plants by any measure and I am sure it will remain so. I have had a great team around me and I know that they will ensure that the success continues with Pierre, whom the team looks forward to welcoming to Yorkshire.
