Isover Espaa, the insulation division of Saint-Gobain Cristaleria S.A., is investing EUR 6 million in a mineral wool plant at Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara province, central Spain). This sum falls within the EUR 25 million that Isover is allocating for technological upgrades at the factory, begun in 2001 and expected to be completed in 2005. The EUR 6 million for 2003 will be split between improving productivity and implementing environmental measures regarding the treatment of effluent. Cristaleria Espaa S.A. posted turnover of EUR 90 million (10% from exports) for 2002, up 4.65%, on sales of insulation, while its total revenue, including the flat glass division, were steady at EUR 453 million, with profits of EUR 88 million.
