Belgian investor Albert Frere is showing interest in French building materials group Saint-Gobain, according to information quoted by Le Figaro Magazine. Albert Frere reportedly plans to invest in Saint-Gobain through his industrial holding company Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (GBL). Baron Frere has already built a stake in the French company, which is said to range between 1% and 2%. The French company is seen as a potential target because of its attractive share price, down more than 50% since the beginning of 2008.
