Sage Electrochromics Inc. has broken ground on a tintable glass manufacturing facility in Faribault, Minnesota, US, expected to provide more than 160 green technology jobs and 200 construction jobs. The high volume manufacturing facility will be completed in 2011 and the plant will be up and running in 2012. Sage manufactures high-tech windows and skylights with technology that allows the glass to be changed from clear to darkly tinted to respond to sunlight and climate changes.
