The company“s search for a site is focused on Novosibirsk, Tomsk and Omsk. Investments are expected to reach EUR 100 million. In May 2006, the Velikodvorsky enterprise began a EUR 20 million upgrade of its production lines, which, on completion, will increase the factory“s capacity to 240 million bottles per annum. Russteklo will have an overall production capacity of 1.7 billion glass bottles after the launch of the Siberian factory. Russteklo is not the only firm to develop in the Siberia Region: in November 2005, Anadolu Cam subsidiary Ruscam announced plans to build a factory in western Siberia, with an investment of USD 60-70 million. The factory will have an annual capacity of 650-700 million bottles.
