The Russian American Glass Company (RASCO, village of Anopino, Vladimir Region), a joint venture between American Glass Partners and Agribusiness International and Anopino Glass Plant, has finished the first phase of restructuring of enterprise. The enterprise which is called the other day put into operation two Czech-made lines, which will turn out up to 140 million bottles annually. The second stage will be assembled and put into operation in the second quarter of the current year. This will make it possible to produce 90 million more bottles annually. Thus, the total annual capacity will be 350-360 million glass bottles. The most part of the company“s production is supplied to the Kristall alcohol plant and Ferein (Electrogorsk, Moscow region). RASKO was set up in 1999. Glass Partners and Agribusiness International invested US$ 7 million in equal shares in the charter capital of the joint venture, the remaining US$ 8 million was used to purchase equipment and raw materials for glass production.
