The Russian-American Glass Company plans to build a USD 100 million glass bottle production plant in Russia“s Novosibirsk Region by 2010, the regional administration“s press office said 9 November 2006. The first stage of the plant with an annual capacity of 330 million bottles is expected to be launched in 2008. The second stage is expected to be finished in 2009. On completion, which is scheduled for 2010, the total annual capacity is estimated at 1 billion bottles. RASKO was established in April 1999 in the town of Anopino in the Voronezh Region. The company“s charter capital amounts to USD 14 million, of which 51% is owned by the Anopino Glass Plant, while the remainder is split into equal shares between US companies Glass Partners and Agribusiness Partners. The US partners invested USD 20 million to upgrade the plant in 1999-2000.
