The VEDA PAK company in Kingisepp in the Leningrad region recently completed a glass-making furnace with a capacity of 320 tons of glass daily and plans to have it up and running in March. The facility is expected to enable the enterprise to make 25 million glass bottles per year. In May 2002, the construction of a second line will get underway. Total investments in the project are set at US$ 50 million. The glass plant has a total design capacity of 640 tons of glass per day.
