According to Semikh Mavish, the general director of the Russian office of Turkish breweries EFES, the company intends to invest US$ 30 million in Russian production in 2002. The investment will boost beer production from 22 million decaliters to 30 million decaliters per year. This year, the company intends to produce beer in five-liter kegs. In order to implement this project, EFES has bought a line from German ESAU & HUEBER, and plans to produce around 300,000 decaliters of beer in kegs by the year-end. Project implementation will require US$ 50,000.
