Rusjam-Ufa, a Russian-Turkish joint venture, has launched an EUR 80 million glass production plant in the city of Ufa in Russia“s constituent republic of Tatarstan, the company said 8 September 2006. The annual production capacity of the plant is 700 million glass bottles, the company said. Turkey“s Anadolu Cam Sanayii was the lead investor in the project. At the official opening of the plant, Turkish Foreign Trade Minister Kursad Tuzmen said that investors are prepared to invest another 80 million in additional facilities at the plant, which would increase its output capacity to 1.2 billion glass bottles per year.
