For the six months to 31 March 1997, on a turnover of DKr 984.8 million, the Danish porcelain, glass and silverware group Royal Copenhagen A/S made a pre-tax profit of DKr 96.3 million. Thus the results are up from last year, which saw a turnover of DKr 961.7 million and pre-tax results of DKr 84.1 million. The company is 82% owned by the brewer Carlsberg. It recently said in a statement that it maintained an earlier forecast of stable development for the full year with the possibility of improvement, given positive market conditions.
