Slovak glassware producer Rona, a.s. Lednicke Rovne reported turnover of SKK 1.721 billion in 2006, up 7.7% from 2005. Output reached SKK 1.732 billion compared to SKK 1.68 billion in 2005. Production costs were SKK 1.134 billion, up 5.5%. The firm generated added value of SKK 602.1 million and closed 2006 with a taxed profit of SKK 60.5 million, up 20.8% year-on-year. Shareholders will decide on the distribution of profit from 2006 at an annual general meeting on 6 June 2007. Total assets were SKK 2.152 billion at the end of 2006, of which 47.4% were fixed assets. Shareholders“ equity was SKK 831.2 million and liabilities amounted to SKK 1.317 billion. Joint stock company Rona was founded in 1996 under the name BDS, s r.o. Lednicke Rovne. On 1 January 2003 it merged with joint stock LR Crystal, becoming the legal successor of a one hundred-year-old manufacturer.
