Romag Holdings plc, which makes specialist blast proof glass and photovoltaic glazing, reported a 21% rise in pretax profit for 2006 helped by higher sales for its renewable energy product PowerGlaz, and said it sees an exciting future for the company. Pretax profit for the year to 30 September jumped 21% to GBP 1.9 million as sales rose 3.8 % to GBP 16.4 million, with PowerGlaz accounting for almost a third of the total revenue. The increased sales for PowerGlaz, the general awareness of the need to use renewable sources of energy, and the legislation changes across Europe provide a very exciting future for the group, said chairman John Kennair. The company set a final dividend of GBP 0.0065, taking the total dividend for the year up by 11% to GBP 0.01.
