Slovak glass and jewellery maker Preciosa International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Czech sector company Preciosa, closed 2004 with a loss of SKK 63,000 (USD 1,900/EUR 1,600), compared to a net profit of over SKK 1.2 million (USD 36,500/EUR 31,200) for 2003. Total revenue increased 11.5% to SKK 174.7 million (USD 5.3 million/EUR 4.5 million) for 2004. Sales revenue rose 13.4 % to 168.5 million (USD 5.1 million/EUR 4.4 million). Value added was SKK 65.9 million (USD 2.0 million/EUR 1.7 million), an increase of SKK 2.0 million (USD 60,900/EUR 52,100). Preciosa International had total assets of SKK 114.8 million (USD 3.5 million/EUR 3.0 million) at the end of 2004, of which current assets accounted for 58.1%. The company“s short-term receivables stood at SKK 2.1 million (USD 63,900/EUR 54,700), while short-term liabilities stood at SKK 9.4 million (USD 286,200/EUR 244,700) at the end of 2004. Preciosa International has a share capital of SKK 100 million (USD 3.0 million/EUR 2.6 million). (Unless otherwise stated, all figures/comparisons are for 2004/2003)
