Praxair announces senior management changes

Praxair, Inc. has appointed Sally A. Savoia to the position of vice president, Human Resources. She formerly was vice president, Healthcare, and president, Praxair Healthcare Services, a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc. Succeeding her in the healthcare positions is George P. Ristevski, formerly vice president and controller. Praxair also announced the appointment of Patrick M. Clark, formerly chief financial officer of Enodis North America, as vice president and controller. Savoia joined the company in 1981, holding positions in marketing, operations and quality before being named business manager, merchant gases, North America, in 1989. In 1993, she was named associate director, Investor Relations, and the following year became director of Praxair“s worldwide re-engineering and quality programs. She was named vice president and general manager, Helium and Rare Gases, in 1996, and became vice president, Healthcare, in 1998. Savoia earned a bachelor“s degree in chemistry from Mount Holyoke College and a master“s degree in business administration from Harvard University. Ristevski joined Praxair in 1995 as director, corporate financial planning and analysis. In 1997 he became finance director for Praxair Distribution, a subsidiary that manages Praxair“s packaged gases business in the US and Canada. He was named vice president and controller for the corporation in 2000. Before joining Praxair, Ristevski had worked at Electronic Data Systems and previously held positions in planning, finance and business-management. He earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Brown University and a master“s degree in business administration from Northwestern University. Clark joins Praxair from the US arm of Enodis Plc., a global manufacturer of food equipment, where he had held various senior financial positions since 1997. Prior to that, he was director of financial planning and analysis at John Crane Inc., and served in financial management positions at Raychem Corp. He earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from San Jose State University and a master“s degree in business administration from Santa Clara University.
