PPG Industries has announced the following changes in its corporate positions. Denise R. Cade, corporate counsel, securities and finance since 2007, and assistant secretary, has been named assistant general counsel and secretary. In this new role, she adds corporate secretary duties to her responsibilities for securities, corporate governance, finance and treasury matters. She previously served as corporate counsel, glass and fiber glass, and as primary counsel for corporate development. Prior to joining PPG in 2005, Cade was a partner at Shaw Pittman LLP, and is a graduate of Marquette University, earning her law degree from Georgetown University. Global director, security and compliance, Regis W. Becker, has been appointed chief compliance officer, and now also has responsibility for PPG“s worldwide Export Control Compliance Program. Becker came to PPG in 1992 as director of corporate security and workers compensation in the environment, health and safety (EHS) function, then moving to the law department in 1998 as corporate director, security and compliance, followed by the position as global director, security and compliance, in 2002. He started his career in law enforcement working in the Allegheny County (Pa.) District Attorney“s Office and as a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University and the Duquesne University School of Law. Both Cade and Becker will continue to report to James C. Diggs, senior vice president and general counsel.
