Polish glassworks HSG Irena SA in Inowroclaw, northern Poland, reported a PLN 3.8 million (USD 956,000/EUR 786,000) consolidated net profit for 2003, compared to PLN 3.3 million (USD 830,000/EUR 682,000) for 2002, the company said. HSG Irena posted revenue of PLN 83.8 million (USD 21.1 million/EUR 17.3 million) for 2003, compared to PLN 79.5 million (USD 20 million/EUR 16.4 million) for 2002. The company generated an opearting profit of PLN 4.3 million (USD 1.1 million/EUR 889,000), compared to PLN 3.4 million (USD 855,000/EUR 703,000). HSG Irena was set up in 1924 and made its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) in 1992. The company manufactures crystal products, including cut-glass and lead crystals and glasses made of soda glass. The company exports its products to the USA, Great Britain, Spain, France, Ireland and Japan. (Note: All figures/comparisons are for 2003/2002).
