France“s Pochet, a producer and distributor of luxury glass perfume bottles and containers, posted turnover of around EUR 371 million (USD 477.7 million) for 2004, including the turnover of its Qualipac subsidiary, it was reported on 11 February 2005. On a constant basis, turnover reached EUR 311.7 million (USD 401.3 million), down 4.3%. Pochet, founded in 1623, produces perfume bottles and containers for cosmetics and perfume makers. The company also makes plastic packaging items for the perfume and cosmetics industries and owns 87% of Lalique, a retailer of crystal, porcelain, jewelry, perfume, and fine leather goods. Pochet generates 42% of its total turnover in France, 32% in North America, 20% in other European countries and the remaining 6% in the rest of the world. It is listed on the Second Marche of Euronext Paris.
