Bulgarian Pirinsko Pivo brewery recently spent US$ 3 million in a new fully automated state-of-the-art bottling line with a capacity of 24,000 bottles per hour. The bottling line was manufactured by the German Krones company. Currently Pivo, which is owned by the Zlaten Lev investment holding, has a 9.1% share of the domestic beer market, which ranks it third after the heavyweights Interbrew and Brewinvest. The company“s sales since the beginning of the year stood at 17,500 tons, compared to the annual target of 40,000 tons.
