The UK sheet glass maker Pilkington Plc is likely to spend US $ 110 mln for the building of a plate glass factory in Zarnesti, central Romania, the Romanian Industry and Energy Minister Dan Ioan Popescu said on 24 May 2002. The factory is to be built on the site of the mechanical plant UM Tohan in Zarnesti, the minister also said. The future plant would have 220 employees.
