The Philippine Government will investigate allegations that two Chinese companies dumped glass on the local market at up to 45% less than its cost in the mainland. Republic Asahi Glass, a Philippine-Japan joint venture, filed a complaint against Shanghai Ta-Yuan Glass and Shanghai Cen Eagle International Trading. Republic Glass Holdings earns more than 90% of its revenue from its venture with Japan“s Asahi group. It said Chinese competitors last year dumped 1,737 tonnes of clear figured glass in the Philippines.
