Graham Womersley, sales director at UK-based Pennine Industrial, reported that the company was pleased to announce an Expansion Program to meet the increased demands for Pennine“s range of Inverted Tooth Conveyor Chains and Drive Sprockets that are used in both hollow glass container plants and tableware glass plants throughout the world. New presses and inspection equipment has been installed in one of the company“s UK facilities to allow increased production of the individual components needed to build its Conveyor Chains. A recent planning application had also been passed which will allow Pennine to increase the final assembly part of the manufacturing by approximately 60%. Pennine also proudly announced that the millions of individual link plates and pins used each week are manufactured in the UK, and that all the raw material can be fully traced back to European suppliers. Womersley also confirmed that there were a number of new and exciting products in development, which will be available to the glass industry during late 2010 and early 2011.
