Home improvements business Pennine is investing 124,000 in the latest manufacturing technology. The Newcastle firm, celebrating 25 years in business, is benefiting from a high-tech cutting table, glass wash and spacer bar saw, which will increase production and improve standards of quality. Howard Jeffreys, production manager at Pennine Home Improvements, said: “Precision and quality has always been of vital importance to us and we are proud to be introducing the latest in high-tech machinery. “The new equipment will help us to meet the new legal standards and legislation being introduced by the Government. “Pennine has kept abreast of all advances in technology and this is reflected this year in the celebration of our 25 years of successful trading.” Pennine was established in 1977 in the North-East. It employs more than 300 staff in showrooms across the region, including Darlington, Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and Morpeth.
