PENNEKAMP CES800 / UBS800 + DOS Hydro Plus, Cold-end coating, application and dosing.
From preparing the coating mixture to spraying glass containers from above and below, each unit performs a specific role:
CES800 | Cold-end surface coating
Applies a protective surface coating to improve scratch resistance during handling and filling. A dedicated electrical drive compensates for lehr belt movement during each spraying cycle, while a flow sensor monitors the coating material flow.
PLC-based control and a graphical operator panel support operation and monitoring. Optional pyrometer temperature sensing allows glass temperature monitoring and a possible control link to the lehr or blast cooling.- UBS800 | Underbelt spraying
Sprays glass containers from beneath the lehr belt. Its compact design fits between the upper belt and its return, requiring a minimum clearance of 200 millimetres. An inverter-controlled drive moves the spray nozzle across the belt, with adjustable traverse speed and a nozzle stop function for spray cone adjustment. - DOS Hydro Plus | Mixture preparation and UV treatment
The DOS unit prepares the water and coating material mixture and can supply one or two cold-end spray units. Water pressure drives the dosing process, and the mixture is supplied to the spray nozzles at regulated flow and pressure. The optional Hydro Plus UV lamp is designed to remove approximately 99 percent of bacteria entering with the water supply, helping minimise spray nozzle clogging. - Surface coating.
