Harbor Capital Advisors, a US fund management group with US$ 17 billion of assets, has agreed to be bought by Dutch fund manager Robeco Group, the companies announced 21 March. Harbor, which is owned by packaging company Owens-Illinois Inc., manages assets in funds and private portfolios. Robeco said it would pay US$ 490 million in cash to Owens-Illinois. The deal is expected to close in late June.
