The OST beverage group is planning to build a US$ 100-million glass plant. According to Yelena Sorokina, head of the Russian company“s board of directors, construction of the plant will begin some time in 2001. Sorokina said that the plant will be built in two stages. Planned capacity following completion of the first stage will be around 300 million bottles a year, meeting the group“s own requirements. Total annual capacity will be 600-700 million bottles.
